Library Closure

Back in 2019, we were awarded a NYS Construction Grant to build a new multipurpose room. We recognized that there was increased demand for additional free, multi-use space. In addition to this space, we anticipate that in a post-COVID world our community will need added access to telecommunication technology. The new room will be an ideal place to conference remotely with colleagues or team members, attend telehealth appointments with doctors, or make presentations on a smart TV.

We are happy to be working with our neighbors at McClurg for the construction of this project. Not only do we get to collaborate with a fantastic local company who has always been a big supporter of our library, but the grant money stays right here in our community (McClurg will contract with other Marcellus businesses for portions of this project).

What does this mean for you?

Holds can be picked up anytime between now and March 15th.

Active holds will be paused until we reopen on the 29th. You can call us and have us change your pickup location to another library if you would like to get your items during our closure.

Virtual programming will continue. Head to marcelluslibrary.org for our calendar.
